It was established in 1988 by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic impacts.

International Energy Agency (IEA)

Kyoto Protocol , adopted in Kyoto, Japan on 11 December, 1997 is an international agreement linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change , which commits its Parties by setting internationally binding emission reduction targets.
